It's that time of year again- the Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn Ranch is July 28th through August 2nd. 

Loretta Lynn's Ranch 

Loretta Lynn was an American country singer and songwriter. She grew up in Butcher Hollow, Kentucky as a coal miner's daughter. She married Oliver "Doolittle" Lynn and became a housewife with 6 children. Her husband encouraged her music career. Eventually, she moved to Nashville in 1960 where she entered the world of country music. Loretta focused on writing songs about her life, especially focusing on lyrics other women could relate to. In 1972, she was the first woman to win the Country Music Association's Entertainer of the Year award. Over her long career, she won many awards, created friendships with other singers, and took on the reputation of a role model for women. Sadly, she passed away October 4, 2022 in her home on her ranch. 

Loretta's ranch in Hurrican Mills, Tennessee is currently an event compound with campgrounds, cabin rentals, activities and our favorite part- dirt bike racing! Loretta and her husband always welcomed the racing community, and the compound continues to do so. The top racers in each class are the only ones who qualify, so it is a great honor to be invited to the Ranch. It is known as the world's largest amateur motocross race. It is the final stop for amateurs before they join the professional ranks.
