Posted by marissa Fajbik on May 8th 2024
Surely you've seen it on social media by now- Jase Macalpine from the Gypsy Tales Podcast challenged Brian Deegan to a 2-stroke build off. The time has come to vote and crown the winner! Voting for the winner is happening tomorrow, Thursday, May 9th on the Yamaha Instagram page.
Deegan
Brian Deegan is a motocross legend and "pioneer in action sports." You'll find him and his family making videos on YouTube.
Deegan decided to go with a Metal Mulisha design for his dirt bike. The kit is mostly black with subtle gray spider webs. Don helped Brian bring his vision for this kit to life for the competition. We create all of the Deegan's personal dirt bike kits.
Metal Mulisha is a dirt bike clothing brand created by Brian Deegan and Larry Linkogle in 1997. Their products are sold online as well as in retail stores. They also feature an energy drink as part of a partnership with Rockstar. The Metal Mulisha group has also been organizing and preforming freestyle motocross shows around the world for the last 20 years.
We've been reading through Instagram comments to see where the majority of fans are leaning. Most of the people voting for Deegan are mentioning his choice of green rims and bringing back the era of his brand Metal Mulisha. We might be biased, but of course we love this look!
Macalpine
Jase Macalpine hosts the Gypsy Tales podcast based out of Australia. He is a filmmaker who has spent the last 10 years traveling to globe and finding friends along the way. He features famous people on his podcast like Travis Pastrana and Brian Lopes.
For the competition, Jase chose to go retro with his design, matching up with the Yamaha 50th Anniversary bike.
When reading Instagram comments, you'll notice followers critiquing Jase's choice of using chrome rims rather than purple.
